Remember When Usher and Chilli Were in Love and Made Music Videos Together?

So in this Post I am combining my two interests – Famous woman that date younger BOYZ and great music 😉

Do you remember this awesome couple?? Are you aware, there was a huge age gab between them? I always felt they where such a awesome match!! Such a shame it didn’t work out.. A 7 YEAR AGE GAB 😉

Forget Justin and Britney and their matching denim ensembles, our favorite musical couple of the early ’00s had to be Usher and TLC’s Chilli. They starred in steamy music videos together, wore ridiculous outfits, and could easily win any celebrity dance-off ever. Sadly, they broke up over a decade ago (ack, we’re all old!). 

But let’s at least revisit those glory days of 2001:

Background:
We all have the “U Remind Me” music video to thank for bringing these hot young stars together in 2001. Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas FROM TLC starred in Usher‘s video and sparks flew, even though they’d already known each other for close to a decade. (They first met in 1993 when Usher signed a record deal at the ripe old age of 14. She was 21 then. Yikes!)

We’re guessing it was Usher’s fabulous dance interlude in the video that really sealed the deal. Chilli’s sexy white crop top and hip chain didn’t hurt, either.

Time Together:
Though they haven’t dated in over a decade, we’ll always have these Usher music videos.

Chilli speaks about the split: 

“In any relationship, even when it came to my relationship with Usher, when it was time to make a move, I had to do that,” she said. “I don’t care how much my heart was hurting, sometimes you’re just supposed to be with people for a reason and it’s not always a lifetime. Even if you want it to be, it just doesn’t work out that way.”

“But I’ll always love him, forever, because he was my first adult love, a real love,” she added. “But we’re cool, we’re really cool. There’s no hard feelings, nothing like that. It’s all good.”

Ushers history: 

After the pair split, Usher went on to date and eventually marry stylist Tameka Foster in August 2007. The “OMG” crooner filed for divorce in 2009; the couple have two sons together — Usher V, 5, and Naviyd, 4.

In recent years, the former couple has duked it out in an ugly court custody battle, but it’s not something that Thomas can sympathize with.

They were only together for two years, between 2001 and 2003, so we want an encore if it’s possible!! 

C’mon, we miss the good ol’ days!!!
